Employee Recognition

We love to celebrate the people who make Johns Hopkins a world-class institution and a great place to work.

Our annual recognition receptions honor staff celebrating milestone employment anniversaries, while the annual MLK Jr. Community Service Awards recognize outstanding volunteer efforts. And don’t miss our annual Fall Fest, a fun- and food-filled gathering for all Hopkins staff and their families.

Milestone Recognition

Our annual milestone recognition events recognize full- and part-time staff who have reached five-year service milestones, with a special dinner for those celebrating 20 or more years of service and a luncheon for new retirees. Employees celebrating milestones also have the opportunity to choose from a selection of awards.

Fall Fest

Johns Hopkins’ annual Fall Fest is our way to say thank you to all Hopkins staff. Held for many years on the grounds of Johns Hopkins at Eastern, Fall Fest moves in 2019 to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, where staff and their family and friends will be feted with food and activities along with full access to the exhibitions. The staff appreciation event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12. Registration opens in August.
