Administrative Development Program (ADP)
A selective, eight-month program for high-potential administrative professionals, designed to build the key competencies required for success in senior-level administrative roles.
Leadership Learning
Hopkins Essentials
A required series of courses that introduces fundamental Johns Hopkins University policies and procedures for leaders. The program is designed for faculty and staff who are newly hired or recently promoted into roles with supervisory or managerial responsibilities. In accordance with JHU policy, all new managers and supervisors must complete the Hopkins Essentials for Leadership program within two years of beginning their position or receiving their promotion.
Supervisor Development Program
This structured curriculum is for new supervisors, current supervisors, and employees preparing for supervisory roles. The program includes required core courses and a selection of electives that allow participants to tailor their learning. All courses align with Johns Hopkins University’s leadership competencies to support consistent, high-quality supervisory development.
Manager Development Program
This structured curriculum is designed for new managers, current managers, and employees preparing for managerial roles. The program includes required core courses along with elective options that allow individuals to tailor their learning path. All courses are aligned with Johns Hopkins University’s leadership competencies to support consistent and effective managerial development.
