We strive for an inclusive, respectful, and safe workplace. To help, we’ve established enterprisewide organizations that raise awareness of problem behaviors and work to prevent illegal and unethical acts in the workplace. We’ve also established avenues for employees to report illegal, unethical, unsafe, or other troubling behavior.
JHU’s Office of Institutional Equity works to ensure JHU’s compliance with affirmative action, equal opportunity, and other laws and is a resource for faculty and staff who require accommodations at work.
Safe at Hopkins is our initiative to proactively raise awareness of concerning behaviors in the workplace, including inappropriate and disrespectful behaviors, workplace bullying, workplace violence, domestic or partner violence in the workplace, and emotional distress. Employees can report concerns through Safe at Hopkins or make use of resources we offer to faculty, staff, students, and managers.
