Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the Johns Hopkins community, over the past ten years more than 4,500 students have each received two new uniforms through our Uniform Drive. As a community, we seek to expand the program and provide essential school supplies to all BCPS students in need.
Johns Hopkins School Uniform Drive
Starting the school year with new uniforms and school supplies help students build confidence, allowing them to better focus on classwork. In addition, Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS) reports that access to uniforms and essential supplies is linked to improved attendance rates.
The Johns Hopkins School Uniform Drive was established in 2011 to assist families in purchasing the required uniforms. In partnership with Baltimore City Public Schools, Johns Hopkins works with a uniform vendor to establish a cost of $50 for two uniforms. Now, a donation of $50 will also subsidize the cost of essential school supplies for all BCPS students in need of support.
