Physical Fitness

Whether you’re looking for a high-energy cardio workout, want to take a strengthening and toning class, or prefer to just hit the gym solo , we have convenient options that will help you meet your fitness goals. All JHU Wellness classes are currently free and offered virtually. Virtual wellness classes are  accessible to JHU  benefits-eligible faculty, staff,  and bargaining unit members.

ZUMBA
Mondays, 5:00-6:00pm, 1/11/2021-3/15/2021
Combines Latin dance rhythms with cardiovascular exercise to create a fun, easy and high-energy aerobic routine.

YOGA STRENGTH
Tuesdays, 12-1pm, 1/12/2021-3/16/2021
Add strength training to your yoga – an impressive combination.

INSANITY
Wednesdays, 12-1pm,1/13/2021-3/17/2021
This HIGH Intensity class works in 3 to 5-minute blocks for max interval training to keep pushing your limits.

RELAXATION & MEDITATION
Thursdays, 12-1pm, 1/14/2021-3/18/2021
With gentle bending, twisting and coordinated breathing, learn to relieve tension and stress with this relaxation class. Emphasis is placed on easing physical discomfort and improving mental clarity.

YOGA CORE
Fridays, 7:30-8:15am, 1/15/2021-3/19/2021
Sitting all day weakens the muscles that support the torso. Get a stronger more resilient core the YogaFit way.

Fitness Facilities

On-Site Fitness Centers

Low membership rates are available to faculty, staff, and bargaining unit members at our on-site fitness centers at the Ralph S. O’Connor Recreation Center on the Homewood campus and the Cooley Center on the East Baltimore campus. Contact the center to join. Both centers are currently offering free virtual classes to all Hopkins affiliates.
