Review Your Current Elections

Consider your current elections. If you don’t make any changes during enrollment to any of the benefits you’ve previously selected from the list below, you’ll keep your current coverage (e.g., same elections and coverage levels for you and your family members) at 2024 rates.

Here’s a list of what you can select or update during benefits enrollment:

Dental plans
  • Delta Dental Core DPPO Plan
  • Delta Dental Enhanced with Orthodontia DPPO Plan

Life insurance
  • Basic: 100% of base salary
  • Supplemental: Additional 100% of base salary
  • Dependent: $4,000 for spouse or domestic partner and $2,000 per child

What you need to know: JHU pays the full cost of basic and dependent life insurance. If you elect supplemental life insurance, you pay the difference and must provide evidence of insurability (EOI).

  • Long-term disability: After 90 consecutive days, replaces 60% of your pay (up to $10,000 monthly); paid by JHU
